About Our Owner
Leger’s Catering was created in the vision of a young girl. At the young age of 10, Lauryn Leger roughly sketched the plans that would one day be her restaurant. Although her original idea changed from restaurant to catering, Lauryn’s passion for creating amazing food through big ideas has always remained the same.
When Lauryn was only 19 years of age, Leger’s Catering was launched to the public. Lauryn Leger’s first opening event was a mouth savoring menu at a wedding hosting 150 guests. Not only was the wedding a tremendous success, word quickly spread about the great food and impeccable service. The rest is history.
After 14 years, Leger’s Catering continues to grow and bring new tastes under Lauryn’s childhood vision. With Lauryn’s continual foresight, Leger’s Catering and its 8 full-time staff has a growing clientele with no barriers. Lauryn’s business continues to serve political parties (including former President Bill Clinton and his wife Hillary Clinton), pharmaceutical companies, physicians, industrial corporations, personal parties, wedding receptions, graduations, and seasonal events – to name a few.
Lauryn Leger is also a mother of three. She is continually leveraging her keen sense of creativity to propel her family and the business forward. In addition to Lauryn’s awesome work/life balance, Lauryn also graduated in the top of her class at the Louisiana Culinary Institute, January 2009. While in school, Lauryn Leger received a scholarship from the National Restaurant Association; this particular scholarship was granted to some of the top culinary students in the country.
Upon graduation, Lauryn was recognized by her instructors and the Baton Rouge Area Foundation with the Culinary Excellence Award. This award was granted to Mrs. Leger for outstanding achievements in the classroom, the kitchen and the community; another example supporting Lauryn’s commitment to place integrity and customer satisfaction as the cornerstone of Leger’s Catering.
